About me

I’m a Vancouver-based photographer and videographer, currently studying at the University of British Columbia, and originally from Hong Kong.

My passion for visual storytelling began in childhood, experimenting with my parents’ Canon S90 pocket camera. What started as curiosity soon became a lifelong pursuit — in 2017, I published my first YouTube video, and since then, I’ve been dedicated to capturing authentic moments and refining my craft.

In 2023, I expanded this passion into a professional practice, launching my website and Instagram @ruthtau007g to showcase my photography and videography. I specialize in portraits, fashion, weddings and creative shoots, with a focus on natural connection, vibrant color, and storytelling.

Above all, I strive to create an experience where clients feel comfortable, seen, and celebrated. As a proud member of the LGBTQ2IA+ community🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️, I provide my services with inclusivity and respect at the core — ensuring every couple, family, or individual feels represented and valued.
